As soon as the left Purple Martin tried to land, the branch snapped, sending both falling! The one on the right tried a warning....
This little plover is called a killdeer! Killdeer are well known for their acting, performing a "broken wing" act to lure would-be predators away from their nests.
The Black-crowned night heron is smart enough to use tools! These birds will often float small objects on water to attract fish and snatch up their prey when they get close!
